AER is a wind-responsive, kinetic facade we designed for the Hungarian Theatre. Besides applying 2400 pieces of flexible steel leaves the project also consisted of the cleaning and the repainting of the old facade (approx. 200 m²) which resulted in a rainbow-like layer of colours on the side of its concrete panels. The small leaves mirroring the colours of the facade form a dynamic whole similar to clambering plants on which the sunbeams can glitter and the intensity of every little air turbulences become visible.
